Jurassic World 2’s creative team has decided to surprise the fans by giving them an early holiday gift. The first visuals from the much-awaited sequel have been released online, and while the footage is very brief, it is incredible. We wonder if it is a precursor to a full-length trailer that would also come out sooner than expected? It might be possible, however, let’s not jump the gun. We should focus on the Jurassic World 2 footage that has come out.

J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) is the director of Jurassic World 2, and he captioned the footage released on the internet, “From our Jurassic family to yours,” making it sound like a holiday greeting. It’s only a six-seconds-long clip. However, it is enough to get the fans worked up about Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. There is a baby raptor, who is similar to Blue from Jurassic World, only a lot tinier who is interacting with Owen Grady (Chris Pratt). His outfit looks different, and it might be newly designed for the film, but, it is questionable. Either way, a velociraptor has never looked any cuter than this in the history of the Jurassic Park franchise.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has promised us more practical effects, implying there will be more animatronic dinos around. This little footage is 100 percent CGI. No doubt, the CGI looks good, but, fans would want to see something real. Owen Grady is shown wearing a leather strap on the arm for some reason. Is he hurt? Is it some new fashion statement? We can’t say for sure as it is only a very short footage. We will have to focus on the tiny details here.

The story of Jurassic World 2 is currently under wraps. However, we know that it would feature a volcanic eruption on Isla Nublar and it will cause animal rights issues. Besides Chris Pratt, the film stars Bryce Dallas Howard, BD Wong, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, and Jeff Goldblum, who comes back as Dr. Ian Malcolm. Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World’s director) and Derek Connolly wrote this film. J. A. Bayona has taken over the directorial duties, and we hope he brings a fresh approach to the franchise. There have been assurances about this film being a lot more than focusing on humans escaping from dinosaurs on an island.

Indications are that the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom teaser trailer will release next month alongside Star Wars; The Last Jedi. This clip is just a tiny, holiday teaser. However, it won’t be shocking to see the full trailer come online soon. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is scheduled to release on June 22, 2018. Have a look at the movie’s first footage provided by J.A. Bayona!
