Less than four months remain for Avengers: Infinity War to hit the theaters. The mega-movie has been termed as a “culmination” of the last ten years of MCU, by Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios and its initial trailer has become the most viewed movie trailer ever.
A sizeable portion of the characters that have so far featured in the MCU would be a part of this film, and as stated by Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson/Falcon in MCU, we are likely to see over 40 characters on the screen simultaneously.
Mackie was at the ACE Comic-Con alongside his Infinity War co-stars Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan, and in response to a question about his experience on the set of the upcoming film, Mackie narrated one of the most memorable moments for him. In fact, he might have revealed a bit more than he would have been expected to.
“There was one day we were on set and were doing this scene that’s in the trailer where “I look to my right, and I see Tom Holland and Dave Batista. I see them in the corner and Tom is literally the size of Dave’s leg,” Mackie describes. “I don’t know what they’re talking about but Batista jumps up and does a kick-punch move, and I was like ‘Yo, you’re about to kill him!’”
Mackie further joked about how Bautista tried teaching Holland a combat move, making a reference to Holland’s size.
Captain America was in agreement with the sentiments expressed by Mackie about the several on-set memories.
“That day was really fun, I know the day you’re talking about,” Evans said. “That day was [snickers]…you’ll see. It was a great day with a lot of great people.”
“we’re all running to battle,” Mackie recalled. “You know, all of us are on set, and it’s like forty superheroes.”
We can’t be sure whether all the 40 characters mentioned by Mackie will feature in the battle scene or not, but, that won’t stop the Marvel fans from imagining their craziest desires.
Mackie further elaborated about the rapport between some of the movie’s actors on the set of Avengers: Infinity War.
Avengers: Infinity War will release on May 4, 2018.
