It’s difficult to believe that Jurassic Park is more than 23 years old. Furthermore, it produced two effective direct sequels and the record-breaking reboot-sequel Jurassic World. In case you’re a great fan and might want to return to the classic that generated everything, then here’s some uplifting news: Netflix has recently included Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III to their collection. So time to get stuck into those works of art! Now, to mark this momentous event for Netflix, how about looking at the cast of Jurassic Park to see what they’re up to nowadays.

1. Laura Dern (Dr. Ellie Sattler)

A veteran of film, Laura Dern played the smart and delightful Dr. Ellie Sattler. When she wasn’t persuading Dr. Grant how marvellous children were or keeping an eye on the wiped out Triceratops, she was caught up with running from a Velociraptor with an electric lamp attached to her leg. Dern’s character turned into an action legend throughout the film, much like Jurassic World’s Claire.

Dern has developed a long and prosperous profession for herself in film and TV. Since Jurassic Park, she has featured in A Perfect World, October Sky, I Am Sam, Daddy and Them, The Fault In Our Stars and Wild. She repeated her role of the recently wedded Ellie Degler in Jurassic Park III. Furthermore, she has gotten three Golden Globe Awards and been nominated for two Oscars. You can see her next on the wide screen in 2017’s Star Wars: Episode VIII and on TV in 2017’s Twin Peaks.

2. Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant)

Sam Neill may be best referred to for his part as the stern yet kind-hearted Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park. We as a whole cherished Dr. Gift and his love-hate relation with children. Neill, a veteran Hollywood legend, has developed a shocking résumé throughout the years. He has featured in The Jungle Book, Wimbledon, The Hunter, The Vow, Escape Plan and in 2001 he repeated his role in Jurassic Park III.

He also had a noteworthy effect on the little screen, featuring in Merlin, Doctor Zhivago, The Tudors, the fleeting yet extraordinary Alcatraz and the widely praised Peaky Blinders. Furthermore, he has recently featured in BBC’s 2015 adaptation of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None and the widely praised 2016 film Hunt for the Wilder people. Sam Neill is, in actuality, one of the untouched greats. Ideally we’ll see him return as Dr. Alan Grant in a future Jurassic World sequel. That would be great!
