Way before Angela Lansbury was the victim of magic and turned into a human-turned-tea kettle called Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, she was creating magic as Miss Eglantine Price in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

1. DISNEY SOUGHT JULIE ANDREWS FOR THE LEAD ROLE.

Since Mary Poppins had been an incredible accomplishment for Disney, they attempted to rope in Julie Andrews to star in Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Like Mary Poppins, Bedknobs highlighted magic, music, animated portions, and even a similar director, i.e. Robert Stevenson and co-star David Tomlinson, Mr. Banks from Mary Poppins.
